Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Nashville, TN. This onsite internship requires daily in-person attendance at the Nashville office; remote or hybrid options are not available.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with a structural track, rising junior or senior, and registered with the Co-op program. Basic Revit or AutoCAD skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program, Civil Engineering with Structural track.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent Co-op office.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Preferred: Structures, concrete coursework.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
• Basic computer, Revit or AutoCAD skills a plus.
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
• Occasional local travel may required for client visits.
• Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

SSOE is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This is an onsite position in our Nashville, TN office. The role requires daily in-person attendance at one of these locations, and remote or hybrid work is not available.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent Co-op office.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Preferred: Strcutures, concrete coursework
• Salary range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school.
