Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Rogers, AR. You will assist in analysis, design, and oversight of electrical systems for building projects, working with experienced engineers and mentors.

You'll support project documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and periodic job site observations while collaborating across disciplines and staying aligned with project budgets and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong interest in design consulting
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form

Responsibilities

  • Assist with electrical design tasks for projects in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
  • Assist with researching commercially available equipment and related resources.
  • Assist with maintaining client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
  • Coordinate design and schedule needs with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
  • Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring design progress.
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
  • Prepare and issue addendum information.
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Rogers, AR. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems for a variety of building types while working alongside experienced engineers and consultants. This paid internship offers hands-on project experience in a mentored setting.

You’ll support project documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and periodic job site observations while collaborating across disciplines and working within project budgets and client expectations. The team supports industrial and manufacturing work within broader MEP delivery, advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA 2030.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

Required Education

  • Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong interest in design consulting
  • Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Preferred

  • Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
