Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation is offering a 12-week, paid Electrical Engineering internship (Finance) stationed on-site in Lemont, IL or Downers Grove, IL. The intern will assist in Project Engineering or Reliability, gain exposure to refinery processes, and prepare a final presentation detailing accomplishments. Expected pay range is $25.50–$34.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited Electrical Engineering bachelor program.
• Sophomore status (completed freshman year).
• Overall GPA 3.0+ required.
• Forty hours per week for full 12 weeks.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Generate discipline-related work scopes and update project documentation.
• Edit engineering training manual and apply as needed.
• Assist with updating equipment reliability and integrity plans.
• Review engineering documentation for completeness with current policies.
• Site visits and coordination with senior engineers for ongoing projects.
• Prepare end-of-internship summary and presentation.
