Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Atlanta, GA office. You will work with a team of engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities include creating electrical drawings with CADD, performing electrical calculations, supporting distribution design, and reviewing shop drawings for construction services.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or related discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
• Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
• Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
