Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Maitland, FL office for Summer 2027. You will work with a team of engineers on diverse public, federal, and industrial projects, gaining exposure to electrical system design and analysis.

You will develop drawings and perform calculations, supporting the development of distribution plans and review of shop drawings in a learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or realted discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
• Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
• Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
