Job summary

CDM Smith's Concord office seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will work with a dynamic team on public, federal, and industrial projects, gaining hands-on experience in electrical design and analysis.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field, you will develop drawings, perform calculations, and assist with distribution design under supervision. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
• Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
• Reviewing shop drawings and assisting with general construction services.
