Georgia-Pacific in Green Bay, WI is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to support the Power and Drives Capital Projects Team this Summer 2027. You will help maintain electrical systems from the utility tie through distribution, protection, and drive systems on our tissue towel napkin paper mills.

You will contribute to design and engineering deliverables, then assist in field installation, checkout, and startup during capital projects.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
Coursework or project experience involving power distribution and motor control.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) to track and communicate project information.
Must travel to project sites up to 25% of the time.
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer Intern on the Power and Drives Capital Projects Team supports the electrical systems that keep our mills running from the utility tie through distribution, protection and relaying, and out to the paper machine drive systems.
You will work on capital projects, contributing to design and engineering deliverables and then following that work into the field for installation, checkout, and startup.
