Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Power and Drives Capital Projects Team in Green Bay, WI for the Summer of 2027. You will support electrical systems from utility tie through distribution, protection, and drive systems, working on capital projects from design through field installation and startup.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology programs, with coursework in power distribution and motor control,

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
• Coursework or project experience involving power distribution and motor control.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) to track and communicate project information.
• Must travel to project sites up to 25% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa transfer or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support the electrical systems from the utility tie through distribution, protection and relaying, and drive systems.
• Contribute to design and engineering deliverables on capital projects and follow work into the field for installation, checkout and startup.
