Job summary

Novelis is offering an on-site summer 2027 internship in Warren, Ohio for an Electrical Engineering Intern for approximately 12 weeks. You will gain hands-on experience with industrial machinery, motor controls, PLC systems, and plant automation under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 4-year university, are Sophomores to Seniors or recent graduates, and have strong communication skills with a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Sophomore to Senior or recent graduate.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn about industrial machinery, motor controls, software programming, and PLC systems.
• Create work orders and supervise work.
• Provide support for Electrical, Reliability, and Automation projects.
• Install a line speed sensor on the exit section.
• Troubleshoot a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Work under the supervision of staff engineers on control plans, system testing, and machine commissioning.
