Job summary

Novelis Oswego is offering an on-site summer electrical engineering internship for 10–12 weeks. The role provides hands-on industry exposure, working with motor controls, PLC systems, and industrial equipment under supervision of staff engineers.

The ideal candidate is an enrolled 4-year university student, classified as a Junior or Senior, with strong communication skills and a desire to learn in a collaborative environment. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year university.
• Must be classified as a Junior or Senior.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn about industrial machinery, motor controls, software programming, and state of the art PLC systems.
• Provide support for various Electrical Engineering Projects.
• Perform engineering drawing modifications.
• Troubleshoot a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment including aluminum rolling lines, mobile equipment, and furnaces.
• Work under the supervision of staff engineers on control plans, system testing, and machine commissioning.
