Job summary

Novelis in Guthrie, KY has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer internship for approximately 12 weeks as an Electrical Engineering Intern. The role offers hands-on experience with industrial machinery, motor controls, PLC systems, and control plans under supervision.

Ideal candidates are Electrical Engineering students (4-year program) with a desire to gain real-world manufacturing exposure and strong communication skills, authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills essential for all levels of the organization.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Learn about industrial machinery, motor controls, software programming, and state of art PLC systems.
• Provide support for various Electrical Engineering Projects.
• Perform Engineering drawing modifications.
• Troubleshoot a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment including aluminum rolling lines, mobile equipment, and furnaces.
• Work under the supervision of staff engineers on control plans, system testing, and machine commissioning.
