Job summary

Novelis in Guthrie, KY is offering a on-site Electrical Engineering Internship for approximately 12 weeks this summer. The Intern will assist in understanding industrial machinery, motor controls, software programming, and PLC systems while gaining hands-on industry experience under the Engineering Leader.

Ideal candidates are electrical engineering students (Sophomore to Senior) with interest in hands-on projects, strong communication skills, and legal work eligibility in the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for all levels of the organization.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Learn about industrial machinery, motor controls, software programming, and PLC systems.
• Provide support for Electrical Engineering Projects.
• Perform Engineering drawing modifications.
• Troubleshoot a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment including rolling lines, mobile equipment, and furnaces.
• Work under the supervision of staff engineers on control plans, testing, and commissioning.
