Job summary

Tampa Electric Company offers a Spring 2027 Student Internship in Electrical Engineering, Lighting. The program provides hands-on experience evaluating network devices and supporting engineering design projects within TECO Energy.

Ideal candidates are enrolled undergrad or grad students in electrical engineering or related fields, with a focus on testing, documentation, and teamwork. Selected interns will work a part-time or full-time schedule in a normal office environment, with field visits

Qualifications

Enrolled in a college program related to electrical engineering or a related field.
Preferred discipline: Electrical; junior or senior or graduate level student.
Strong engineering aptitude and analytical thinking required.
Knowledge of network protocols and devices is a plus.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Network device testing: evaluate hardware and software, troubleshoot, document results.
Engineering design support: assist in design and development of network devices.
Documentation: maintain testing procedures and technical records.
Collaborative contribution: engage with team to improve device performance.
