Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is offering a Spring 2027 Student Internship in ECPM, Engineering. This TECO Energy Cooperative Education Program provides practical experience aligned with a student’s field of study.

Engineering interns will work with Energy Delivery engineers on diverse technical projects, report to project managers, and gain exposure to design, procurement, and field activities in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university as an undergraduate or graduate student.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
• Preferred disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related.

Responsibilities

• Support TECO energy delivery projects with engineering input.
• Assist with design drawings, specifications, and bill of materials.
• Coordinate with internal teams and contractors on tasks.
• Evaluate materials and procurement options with guidance.
• Provide field data collection and assist in project closeout.
