Job summary

AV’s Summer Internship Program invites Electrical Engineering students to join the Test Equipment Engineering Team. You will contribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for unmanned aircraft and advanced robotics, while building test equipment, writing software, and troubleshooting.

This hands-on role offers mentorship from experienced engineers during a fast-paced product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience with at least one of: power electronics, embedded systems, FPGA, RF, or analog/digital design.
• Basic programming in C, C++, or C#; familiarity with test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development, and troubleshooting of test equipment for PCBAs, subsystems, and full systems.
• Develop and deploy test software to support hardware integration and validation.
• Maintain and upgrade test systems used during production.
• Participate in test plans, requirements documentation, and validation strategies.
• Assist in executing tests on power systems, avionics, and propulsion components.
• Learn, apply engineering best practices, and maintain documentation standards.
• Support hardware bring-up, test station calibration, and system verification.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers.
