Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in the United States is offering a paid Summer Internship in Test Equipment Engineering.

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join the team to design, develop, and test electrical systems for unmanned aircraft and robotics, build test equipment, write software, and troubleshoot systems with mentors guiding you through the product lifecycle. Open to current college students or recent graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA; relocation/housing stipends may be offered.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Academic or personal project experience in Power electronics, embedded systems, FPGA, RF, or circuit design.
• Basic programming knowledge in C, C++, or C#
• Familiarity with test equipment and lab practices.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and testing of test equipment for PCBA, subsystems, and full systems.
• Help develop and deploy test software to support hardware integration and validation.
• Support maintenance and upgrade of test systems used during production.
• Participate in test plan creation, requirements documentation, and validation strategies.
• Assist in executing tests on power systems, avionics, and propulsion components.
• Learn engineering best practices, processes, and documentation standards.
• Support hardware bring-up, calibration, and system verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of hardware, software, and systems engineers.
• Perform other related duties to support ongoing engineering efforts.
