Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the Test Equipment Engineering Team.

You will contribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for unmanned aircraft and advanced robotics, building and supporting test equipment, writing software, and troubleshooting systems. You will gain hands-on experience across the product development lifecycle, working with experienced engineers and mentors in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes real-world

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience with power electronics, batteries, or electric motors is a plus.
• Exposure to embedded/FPGA/RF systems and circuit design.
• Familiarity with common electrical interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN, LVDS.
• Basic programming skills in C, C++, or C#.
• Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) and strong troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and troubleshooting of test equipment for PCBAs and subsystems.
• Develop and deploy test software to support hardware integration and validation.
• Maintain and upgrade test systems used during production.
• Assist in test plan creation, requirements documentation, and validation strategies.
• Support hardware bring-up, calibration, and system verification.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers across teams.
