Job summary

Burns & McDonnell invites qualified electrical engineering students to join an Engineering Intern role in Chicago. You will apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers on diverse projects, and contribute to updates of designs across multiple market segments.

This internship emphasizes teamwork, data collection, presentations, and continuous improvement. A minimum 3.0 GPA and lawful work authorization in the United States are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a related post-secondary program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, and documentation.
• Support lead engineers on project duties and design updates.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analysing data.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project issues.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
