Job summary

RENK America seeks a Transmission Electrical Engineering Intern to support electrical design engineers in developing harnesses, CCAs, and powertrain electronics for military ground vehicles. You will assist with design, integration, and testing under a mentor, gaining hands-on experience through projects from concept through validation.

Required: pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), strong written/verbal communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Create components/schematics for the Altium library by interpreting manufacturer’s data sheets.
• Support the development of electrical schematics and architecture drawings
• Assist in designing and developing CCAs and wire harnesses
• Support hybrid powerpack electrical architecture design
• Assist with FPGA integration
• Perform minor electrical and thermal analyses
• Support requirements derivation and verification
• Assist with test plan generation
• Support test activities including bench, dynamometer, and vehicle level testing
• Perform data analysis
• Participate in root cause failure analysis investigations on electrical systems
