RENK America is seeking a Transmission Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist senior engineers in design, integration, and testing of mechanical systems for military ground vehicles. Job Description: The Transmission Mechanical Engineering Intern will be working on tasks in support of the staff mechanical design engineers. The goal will be to give them a solid introduction to the roles and responsibilites of a mechanical design engineer, and allow them to complete and report out on their own project during the course of their internship. The Transmission Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist with design, integration, and test of mechanical systems such as transmissions and gearboxes for military ground vehicles including tanks, self propelled artillery, and infanty fighting vehicles. Projects may include any stage of the product development cycle including research, design, modeling & analysis, prototyping, and testing (bench, dyno, or vehicle). The Transmission Mechanical Engineering Intern will work under close supervision of a Mentor.
