Job summary

STV is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in a hybrid office setting. The role offers mentorship across building and facility electrical design, from field surveys and CAD work to equipment selection and coordination with trades.

Current projects include transit terminals, municipal facilities, and light commercial spaces. The candidate will develop schematic designs into construction documents under a Senior Engineer, with exposure to power, lighting, fire

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
• Strong interest in building and facility electrical design and related engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support building and facility electrical design under mentorship.
• Conduct field surveys, calculations, and CAD tasks.
• Prepare power systems diagrams, metering and relaying schematics, and wiring drawings.
• Design grounding grids, lighting, and power distribution elements.
• Assist in preparing technical and cost proposals and change orders.
• Interface with clients, utility reps, and STV teams.
• Develop designs into construction documents under senior guidance.
