Job summary

Interstates invites a Design Services intern to support electrical design and construction. You’ll gain hands-on experience, work with seasoned professionals, and develop an electrical construction vocabulary while contributing to current projects.

The role covers data gathering, design decisions, and drafting with InterTrak, AutoCAD, and Revit, plus field exposure and client communication. Travel is possible as projects progress.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years electrical experience/education; pursuing engineering degree.
• Drafting degree will be considered.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Interest in manufacturing, industrial, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and review scope information for projects.
• Record design decisions in InterTrak to aid drawings and specs.
• Develop 2D/3D electrical drawings communicating project scope.
• Communicate updates with team members and clients.
• Travel to job sites or shops to work with craft teams.
• Promote Interstates brand within the industry.
• Follow organizational policies and applicable laws.
