Job summary

•••• is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Cincinnati, OH for a 10–12 week summer program. The role involves assisting with electrical system design, researching equipment, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and documenting decisions for permanent records.

This is a hands-on opportunity with a path to future full-time roles. Required: 2 years toward a BS in Electrical Engineering and prior internship in building design consulting preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Prior internship in the building design consulting industry preferred.
• Proficient with CAD/BIM software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical system design for projects in accordance with code and standards.
• Research commercially available equipment for project needs.
• Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent records.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to final check.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support other contract services.
