Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC invites motivated engineering students for a Summer-Fall 2027 Test Laboratory Co-op. Based in the Electrification and Automation division, you'll support power distribution tests and gain experience with future grids technologies in a collaborative setting.

You will assemble test samples, operate measurement equipment, run tests, and document results while collaborating with a team. This fixed-term, on-site program requires current enrollment in a bachelor's program and NC

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and approaching completion.
• Must be able to work on-site full-time during Summer and Fall 2027.
• Must be enrolled in North Carolina State University co-op program.
• Within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; no relocation support.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and evaluation of switchgear including MCC, GM-SG, SDV7, and gas-insulated switchgear.
• Assist with assembling test samples and creating test fixtures.
• Handle measurement equipment, run tests, and evaluate data.
• Create technical documentation including test reports and procedures.
• Perform durability and material characteristic testing and support R&D activities.
