Job summary

IMEG, an employee-owned engineering firm in Philadelphia, seeks an Electrical Engineering Co-op for Summer 2027. You will support experienced engineers in analyzing, designing, and overseeing electrical systems in building projects, gaining hands-on experience within a 3-12 month program.

This position offers exposure to CAD/BIM tooling, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and client-facing documentation. You will contribute to energy-efficient designs aligned with high-performance standards while

Qualifications

• Two years toward BS in Electrical Engineering are required.
• Interest in building design consulting is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects per code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment resources.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and record files.
• Coordinate design and schedules across disciplines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions; monitor progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job-site observations per contract services.
