Job summary

IMEG Corp. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op Intern in Raleigh, NC. The role provides hands-on experience in engineering analysis, design, and oversight of electrical systems in buildings, with a 3–12 month program duration depending on the co-op length.

You will work with a team of engineers and consultants, supporting design portions, research for equipment, and coordination with multiple disciplines to meet project goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Two years of college toward a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Prior internship experience in building design consulting preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to electrical systems.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Coordinate design and schedule with related disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology).
• Document design decisions and meetings promptly for permanent records.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic on-site observations as required by the contract.
