Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op in Philadelphia, PA to assist experienced engineers with the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. This 3-12 month summer program offers hands-on project work and mentorship in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

You will support education and cultural-institution projects, work within project budgets, and contribute to high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with industry

Qualifications

• 2+ years towards BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Exposure to CAD and/or BIM software.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to clearly communicate in oral and written form.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment resources.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebook preparation, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment-supplier disciplines.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
