Job summary

CMTA, Inc. (a Legence Company) invites co-op students pursuing Electrical or Architectural Engineering to join our hands-on electrical design program in Annapolis, MD. The 40-hour onsite role starts January 2027 and may lead to full-time opportunities after graduation.

You'll learn electrical system design, create layouts in AutoCAD and Revit, and contribute to challenging MEP projects under professional engineers. Travel locally for field work may be required, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Strong interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement electrical system basics such as power distribution, lighting and controls.
• Produce detailed layouts and equipment details for electrical systems.
• Create one-line diagrams/schematics and assist with organized drawing sets.
• Assist design team with data collection and field verification.
