Job summary

OpenTrain AI, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering AI Evaluation Expert to craft realistic engineering problems and assess AI-generated technical content. This project-based contract spans power systems, semiconductors, chip design, embedded systems, DSP, and RF, with feedback guiding better model reasoning and practical constraint handling.

The role is remote, part-time, and flexible, allowing independent work at your pace. Compensation goes up to $120 per hour for completed tasks.

Qualifications

• At least two years of hands-on electrical engineering industry experience.
• An MS or PhD in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering, or a BS in electrical engineering with strong industry experience.
• Demonstrated depth in power systems, microgrids, high-voltage engineering, semiconductors, chip design, EDA, embedded systems, DSP, or RF.
• Strong written communication, careful attention to detail, and independent judgment.
• Current residence in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop expert-level engineering problems and scenarios grounded in real design, testing, and field work.
• Review AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and practical feasibility.
• Judge whether responses align with how electrical engineering work is performed in practice.
• Provide structured written feedback that identifies issues and supports improved model performance.

About this role

OpenTrain is recruiting for an Electrical Engineering AI Evaluation Expert to create realistic engineering problems and scenarios and assess AI-generated technical content. This project-based contract draws on hands-on electrical engineering practice across power systems, semiconductors, chip design, embedded systems, digital signal processing, radio frequency engineering, and related fields. Your feedback will help improve how AI systems reason about real engineering methods, constraints, and decisions.

Helpful background

Working arrangement

This is ongoing, flexible, part-time contract work that can be completed alongside another role. There is no set schedule or minimum hour requirement, and compensation is up to $120 per hour for completed work.
