Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our Resilience Water team in Raleigh, NC. You will design electrical systems for water and wastewater projects, spanning concept through construction and startup, delivering reliable, sustainable infrastructure.

Key requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5 years in water/wastewater projects; NEC familiarity; EIT/PE and a master’s are preferred. This role offers growth in a global design and consultancy leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline (preferred).
• EIT Certification or PE license (preferred).
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with process, mechanical, and I&C engineers to develop electrical design criteria, single-line diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation.
• Design low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems in alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
• Perform power system studies and analyses using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software.
• Support project managers with scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimating throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage assigned project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables to ensure quality and timely execution.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and other project-related travel as needed.
