Job summary
KAD Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team for transportation, municipal, and infrastructure projects across Illinois. This role will design electrical systems from concept to construction documents, including roadway lighting, power distribution, and traffic signal systems, while coordinating with civil, mechanical, and construction management professionals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Illinois PE license preferred or able to obtain.
Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical designs from concept through final construction documents.
- Design roadway lighting, power distribution, traffic signals, ITS, and facility electrical systems.
- Perform electrical load, photometric, and short-circuit calculations.
- Coordinate electrical design with civil, mechanical, structural, and construction management teams.
- Assist with proposal development and technical scope preparation.
