Job summary

Quantum is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Continuation Engineering (Manufacturing) in Centennial, CO. This on-site role focuses on sustaining engineering for PCBAs used in tape automation systems, resolving manufacturing and field issues, and coordinating ECOs with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a basic grasp of analog/digital electronics, schematic reading, and strong problem-solving abilities, with 0-5 years of experience. Internship or lab work in electronics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience; new graduates encouraged.
• Ability to read circuit schematics and component documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working onsite with manufacturing and lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Support sustaining engineering activities for PCBAs used in tape automation systems.
• Investigate manufacturing, field, and supplier-related electrical issues.
• Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods.
• Assist with component obsolescence management and alternate components.
• Support ECOs, documentation updates, and product revisions.
• Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve production and test issues.
• Analyze electrical failures and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in qualification and validation of component substitutions and PCBA changes.
• Review schematics, BOMs, test reports, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support failure analysis, reliability improvement, and product continuation projects.
