Job summary

Sunvair, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in PCB design and electronics analysis to troubleshoot, model, and validate complex electrical systems.

You will develop schematics, layouts, and Gerber data while coordinating with mechanical and software teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics technology and at least two years in design or electronics engineering.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as an Electronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Design Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Support contractual repairs and procurements including the development of work specifications, technical evaluations, and contractual technical content.
• Conduct advanced software analysis to integrate and validate new repair testing requirements
• Analyze complex electronic circuitry and precision electro-mechanical assemblies to recommend and develop component improvements.
• Troubleshoot and reverse engineer electronic circuitry and PCBs.
• Design and develop PCBs from concept through to production.
• Create detailed electrical system designs, including schematics, layout, and Gerber packages.
• Conduct system modeling and simulations to validate design choices and ensure robustness.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer who specializes in PCB design and electronic systems analysis. The successful candidate will be instrumental in troubleshooting, reverse engineering, and designing printed circuit boards. This role is critical in developing detailed electrical systems, including schematics, layouts, and Gerber packages, and conducting system modeling and simulations to validate design choices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electronics technology
• 2 years of experience as an Electronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Design Engineer

Skills:

• hands-on experiences with lab equipment like DAQs, Oscilloscopes, thermal chambers
• hands-on experience with fine-point soldering and minor PCB rework
• experience with PCB design tools and familiarity with PCB schematic
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability
• Team player and detail-oriented
• Proven ability to take open-ended problems & break them down into methodical steps to completion

Optional Skills:

experience with shell/bash, python programming, NI labview
