Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer (P2) to support our wind, solar, and storage assets across the United States. You will optimize electrical equipment safety and reliability, analyze protection systems, and manage maintenance programs for substations and collection systems.

You will review fault data, program relays, and coordinate with project teams to resolve issues, while contributing to safety and compliance with NFPA 70E/70B and NEC standards.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with HV substation protection and control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and protection systems.
• Experience with arc flash, NFPA 70E/70B, and related safety practices.
• PE registration preferred or ability to obtain within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to optimize electrical equipment safety and reliability.
• Identify and diagnose problems affecting electrical system reliability through data analysis and inspection.
• Manage short- and long-term maintenance programs for substations and collection systems.
• Program and maintain substation relays, backups, and remote support.
• Assist with troubleshooting using fault records and operational data.
• Maintain and improve electrical system specifications for new and operating plants.
• Communicate findings regularly with Leeward management.
