Job summary

Invenergy LLC seeks an Electrical Engineer 2 to support protection and control systems for renewable generation, substations, and GEN tie facilities. You will work on protective relays, event analysis, relay settings, and coordination for inverter-based resources across wind, solar, and storage assets.

Qualifications include a BS in Electrical Engineering and 2–4 years in protection & control, power systems, or renewables, with experience in SEL products. Some travel (<25%) is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or similar major.
• 2–4 years of work experience in protection & control, power systems, substations, or renewable energy.
• Experience with SEL products and tools.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support protection & control systems across high voltage substations, collection systems, and renewable plants, including outage investigations and reliability improvements.
• Maintain and support relay settings database; develop best practices for settings management.
• Assist in regulatory and compliance requirements for PRC-028/029/030; coordinate with compliance and asset teams.
• Support NERC PRC compliance, including coordination, settings validation, and performance monitoring for standards like PRC-005/019/025/027.
• Review maintenance and testing reports for alignment with industry standards and policies.
• Support protection philosophies, relay settings, and coordination strategies; assist testing vendor onboarding.
