Powell is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design for low and medium voltage switchgear and control solutions. You will draft drawings, interpret client specifications, and coordinate with cross-functional teams across engineering and purchasing.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with focus on power.
• 1–3 years of engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to draft in AutoCAD and interpret electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design standard jobs to match client specifications.
• Draft electrical construction drawings in AutoCAD with in-house teams.
• Develop 480V–5kV motor control and 480V–38kV switchgear designs.
• Collaborate with project management to review specs and drawings.
• Create and validate Bills of Materials for submittals.
• Provide technical support in client meetings and in sales teams.
• Coordinate with purchasing for components and assemblies.
• Ensure designs meet Powell standards and safety practices.
