Job summary

Powell is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design standard products based on customer specifications and internal guidelines. You will create drawings, interpret job specs, order materials, and transmit drawings to shop and customers while coordinating with sales and shop personnel.

Responsibilities include leading in-house design tasks, reviewing wiring diagrams, applying NEC/ANSI codes, and supporting product improvements.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or related area.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an Engineering role.
• Advanced drafting/CAD skills.
• Proficient with electrical design and circuitry.
• Able to read and interpret electrical symbols, characters, and modify drawings.
• Able to apply NEC, ANSI, and Other as it applies to day to day activity.

Responsibilities

• Design standard jobs with guidance.
• Read and interpret customer job specifications.
• Order materials.
• Create drawings.
• Transmit drawings to shop and customer.
• Interface with sales, customer (with supervisor) and shop.
• Direct designers in completing wiring diagrams.
