Powell, a leading electrical solutions provider in Houston, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer II to lead complex switchgear projects from concept through delivery. You will design Low and Medium Voltage switchgear, draft comprehensive drawings, and guide a team to meet client specs, budget, and schedule.

You will also collaborate with cross‑functional teams, provide technical leadership in meetings, and drive continuous improvements in design and processes while mentoring junior engineers.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years engineering experience.
• Advanced drafting/ACAD skills.
• Strong knowledge of switchgear design and control schemes.
• Understanding of power systems and relay applications.

Mansioni

• Independently complete projects to match client specifications.
• Draft electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD with in-house teams.
• Design 480V through 5kV motor control and 480V through 38kV switchgear.
• Coordinate with project management to interpret write-ups and drawings.
• Create and validate Bills of Materials for submittal.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support in meetings.
• Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers on components.
• Ensure adherence to budget and schedule constraints.
