Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on a variety of projects in Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills, MI. The role involves designing electrical and building systems, performing site visits, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold a BSEE or equivalent, with PE licensure or in progress, and familiarity with NEC, IBC, and Energy Codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Design Master Electrical, and related software is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE or equivalent).
• Experience designing electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Licensed PE or working towards licensure.
• Familiarity with NEC, IBC, and Energy Codes.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Design Master Electrical, Microsoft Office, Easy Power, and lighting design software.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical and construction documentation.
• Design and support electrical and building systems.
• Conduct site visits and gather field data.
• Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders.
• Provide construction administration and project support.
• Review and prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Support projects from planning and design through construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage project tasks and deliverables.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of engineering designs and documentation.
