Job summary

Lunar Energy in Mountain View, CA, is seeking Electronics Engineers to own the full product development lifecycle of power electronics systems for home energy storage and related products. You will work with a cross-functional team to take concepts through prototype, validation, and high-volume production.

The role requires hands-on experience with both simulation and hardware, knowledge of high-voltage design, and collaboration across mechanical, thermal, reliability, and firmware teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 3 years experience in power electronics design.
• Experience with battery management systems, inverters, charge systems etc.
• Proficient with Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout.

Responsibilities

• Create the best possible products by contributing to product level features, design, and vision.
• Detail-level design of tester interface boards for IoT devices, power electronics systems, DC/DC converters, and inverters.
• Bring up and testing of systems to validate functionality and optimize performance.
• Collaborate on test/validation mechanisms for PCBAs and system-level testing.
• Work with ME cross-functional team on bed-of-nails fixtures.
• Coordinate across mechanical, thermal, reliability, and firmware to optimize the product.
• Own electrical aspects end-to-end from design through prototype, validation and manufacturing.
• Debug and troubleshoot down to the component level.
