Job summary

Lunar Energy in San Francisco, CA is seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design of high‑efficiency, high‑density power converters from concept through production.

You will own the power conversion system end‑to‑end, collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and firmware teams, and mentor junior engineers. A B.S. in EE with 5+ years in power electronics is required; MS/PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 5 years’ experience in power electronics.
• MS/PhD preferred in power electronics.
• Knowledge of active and passive losses in power conversion.

Responsibilities

• Design power conversion systems from 10W–10kW, DC/DC converters, and inverters.
• Bring up and test systems to validate function and performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and firmware teams to optimize the product.
• Own the power conversion system end‑to‑end from spec to production.
