Job summary

Lunar Energy, a fast-growing clean energy company, seeks Electronics Engineers to own the electrical aspect of home energy storage systems from concept to manufacturing. You will design power electronics, work with battery management, inverters and charging systems, and collaborate across mechanical, thermal, reliability and firmware teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, lab work, and rapid prototyping in a high-voltage environment, with on-site development at Mountain View, CA.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5 years in power electronics design.
• Experience with battery management systems, inverters and charging systems.
• Proficient with Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout; experience with PCB fab and assembly houses.
• Strong lab skills for power conversion test and analysis (oscilloscopes, impedance analyzers, power supplies, loads).
• Experience working with high voltage, current and power.
• Prototyping and rework: soldering, flux application, cleaning.
• Familiarity with embedded control and programming of microcontrollers/PLDs.
• Analog circuit design including op-amps and power supply design (linear & switching).
• Mixed-signal design with focus on noise and grounding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical aspect of the system from design through prototype, validation and manufacturing.
• Detail-level design of tester interface boards and power electronics subsystems.
• Bring up and test systems to validate functionality and optimize performance.
• Develop tests and validation mechanisms for PCBAs and complete systems.
• Collaborate with ME and other functions to optimize the product.
