Job summary

Kforce Inc in Austin, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Infrastructure Electrical Engineering team. You will help design the electrical distribution system from medium voltage down to 120V loads and coordinate across disciplines with Construction to take projects from design through energization.

You will own the power distribution design, apply NEC code, prepare deliverables in Revit MEP (single-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding, underground conduit drawings, power plans,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in commercial/industrial MEP electrical design.
• Proficient in delivering electrical deliverables with Revit MEP.
• Experience using NEC to calculate overcurrent protection and size conductors/grounding.
• Experience designing low-voltage distribution (480V to 120V).

Responsibilities

• Own electrical power distribution design from scope through construction.
• Apply NEC to develop code-compliant designs.
• Coordinate with Design Managers, Manufacturing, Construction and other stakeholders.
• Prepare IFP/IFC electrical deliverables (single-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding drawings, underground conduit drawings, power plans, lighting layouts) in Revit MEP.
• Perform field walks and surveys with peers and Construction.
• Review equipment submittals and specifications.
• Answer RFIs and design questions.
