Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop power distribution and control system designs for large industrial facilities. You will translate engineering intent into detailed REVIT and Smartplant 3D models across MV/LV systems, lighting, grounding, and equipment integration.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of electrical design experience (7+ for senior roles) and familiarity with NEC/ANSI/IEEE standards, working across teams to meet cost and schedule targets in a fast-paced EPC

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate in Electrical/Mechanical Eng Tech with 2+ years electrical design and 3D modeling.
Senior level: 7+ years with REVIT or Smartplant 3D; Mid level: 2+ years with REVIT for 3D modeling.
Collaborates across departments and initiates meetings for clarity on work.
Understands NEC/ANSI/IEEE standards.
Manages multiple responsibilities and meets deadlines while ensuring quality.

Responsibilities

Utilize Revit 3D and Smartplant 3D to design electrical systems for buildings and industrial facilities.
Deliver power distribution diagrams, schematics, 3D models, and related documentation.
Support design with IO lists, drawings, and specs; coordinate with engineers.
Lead small projects or guide other designers as needed.
Ensure work adheres to codes, standards, and budgets.
Maintain safe and productive work practices.
