Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems to the component level.
• Design or modify electrical controls to improve reliability and productivity.
• Programming and troubleshooting controls with emphasis on motion controllers, preferably Mitsubishi PLCs.
• Calibrate electrical systems and components.
• Read and modify complex PLC and Servo programs.
• Communicate professionally with associates from all departments.
• Manage projects from concept to implementation.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for parts and services.

Responsibilities

• Designs, tests, installs, and maintains large-scale electronic equipment or machinery for use in manufacturing, power generation, or transmission.
• Confers with vendors, contractors, maintenance personnel, and other engineers concerning the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems to ensure equipment and systems are process capable.
• Confers with planning and design staff concerning equipment design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
• Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate equipment capability to meet future manufacturing requirements.
