Job summary

NSG Group in Ohio seeks an Electrical Engineer to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of the plant's electrical power distribution. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical infrastructure to support continuous manufacturing operations.

You will drive process and equipment improvements, minimize downtime, and enhance energy performance through engineering solutions, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Experience solving technical problems in manufacturing environments.
• CAD proficiency, AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report all plant outages, upsets, and emergencies.
• Engineer solutions to quality and safety problems to reduce waste and improve performance.
• Assist in development of new products, processes, or systems related to electrical distribution.
• Design, install and commission new plant equipment to minimize production disruption.
• Investigate downtime and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate maintenance of plant electrical power systems.
• Champion energy savings tracking, reporting, and project implementation.
• Collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate corrective actions to drive quality improvements.
• Train team in SOPs and conduct regular audits.
• Identify spare parts and reduce downtime due to stockouts.
• Oversee outside contractors and vendors.
• Adhere to NSG/Pilkington Standards and Values.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
