Job summary

MAAS Companies, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA seeks an electrical engineer to support district-wide energy projects on nine campuses, including solar and storage, with a focus on feasibility and integration.

You will work under the Sustainability Strike Team Lead, assess infrastructure, run load studies, write scopes, review designs, and back up the team through commissioning and closeout. This is a licensed, senior-level role requiring 7+ years and a CA PE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• California PE license required.
• 7+ years in design, construction, or facilities infra.
• Strong knowledge of California energy codes (Title 24), NEC, CALGreen.

Responsibilities

• Serve as electrical engineering expert for PMs and the Sustainability Strike Team.
• Assess electrical infrastructure condition and upgrade opportunities.
• Perform load studies and capacity evaluations.
• Write and review scopes of work against standards.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and utilities on capacity.
• Review design documents, submittals, and change orders.
• Provide input to procurement and participate in designer/contractor panels.
• Support field commissioning and closeout.
• Apply CA energy codes to reviews.
