Job summary

Washington Equipment Manufacturing Company, Inc. (WEMCO, Inc.) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, review, and optimize electromechanical systems.

You will work under the VP with a team of engineers across mechanical, structural, and control disciplines to advance our capabilities. Responsibilities include developing control systems, performing root-cause analyses, and creating test procedures for assembly and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Strong background in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate electromechanical systems by applying mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Develop and review control systems by studying customer requirements and testing methods.
• Interact with engineers to resolve design or performance issues.
• Create test procedures and provide technical assistance during assembly and commissioning.
• Execute assignments with attention to schedule and cost.
• Perform root cause analysis for failures and data analysis tasks.
• Write reports or presentations for customers on projects.
• Ensure quality, codes, standards, and specifications are met before turnover.
