Baird, Hampton & Brown, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a full-time licensed Electrical Engineer, PE to design power, lighting, and signal systems for commercial projects including schools, retail, industrial, municipal, and healthcare.

Lead mid-sized lighting and power projects with a team of engineers and EITs, and perform photometric analyses and code-compliant design reviews. Requires a four-year ABET-accredited degree, at least three years of PE experience in electrical building design, and

Qualifications

• Four-year minimum degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least three years of recent experience as an Electrical PE in electrical building design.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Working knowledge of NEC and IBC.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical distribution from utility to panelboards and loads.
• Perform site visits and document existing systems.
• Select lighting fixtures and controls to comply with energy codes.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications and ensure code compliance.
• Create construction documents in AutoCAD and REVIT and perform photometric studies.
