Job summary

Baird, Hampton & Brown seeks an electrical engineer PE to design power, lighting, and signal systems for commercial projects in a mid-level role. You will oversee small to mid-sized projects with a team of licensed engineers, EITs, and GDEs, performing photometric analyses and voltage drop calculations.

Responsibilities include creating construction documents, budgeting, and coordinating meetings with clients and staff to ensure on-time delivery and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Four-year Electrical Engineering degree from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum three years of experience as Electrical PE in electrical building design.
• Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical distribution systems from utility to customer panels and loads.
• Perform site visits to assess existing electrical systems.
• Select lighting fixtures and control systems compliant with codes.
• Prepare drawings and specifications to meet codes and client requirements.
• Create construction documents using AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and officials on projects.
• Develop construction budgets and track labor/material costs.
• Oversee project production to meet timelines and budgets.
